Senior Android Engineer Full-time Job

Duration: 12-18 months.

Salary: around USD$20 per hour (40k annually)

Role/Skills

• Client has an Android application that needs work. It's very behind on features as opposed to their IOS app. The Android app only has approximately 40% of the features so they need to bring it up to speed

• Looking for an upper middle level Android developer with four to five years’ experience.

• Must have developed at least one Android application from scratch. Ideally two or three of them.

• Need someone that's worked with APIs.

• Needs a strong background in Kotlin, Java, Android Studio, and MVVM architecture

• Must be self-directed and not need handholding

• Ecommerce application experience is abig plusbut is not required.

• Graph QL experience is aplus

• Will be working on a mobile team of 6 iOS developers and 1 Android developer, along with a product manager.

• Must be able to pass an international background check

Senior Android Engineer

• Produce high-quality, performant, and testable code

• Contribute to the technical direction of our Android app as a whole

• Develop features to advance fashion and the circular economy / sustainable e-commerce

• Mentor and learn from peers through pull requests and pairing

• Collaborate on a multi-disciplinary, highly performant team to build the future of the company

• Directly impact our customers, consignments, and earnings.

Minimum Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience developing high-volume consumer-facing mobile apps

• Good understanding of Kotlin, Java, Android Studio, and MVVM architecture

• Passionate about market-leading UX

• Passionate about testing practices and continuous improvement

• Curiosity about retail/e-commerce, the high-end consignment market, and/or how to create a sustainable, circular economy for luxury goods

Preferred Requirements:

• Experience with Jetpack Compose and Coroutines.

• Experience with GraphQL
