Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Security Specialist to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Melbourne, FL.

Essential Functions:

Perform duties and responsibilities in support of the security program as prescribed by the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), Intelligence Community Directives (ICD) and other applicable US Government security directives.

Assist with the development and administration of security programs and procedures

Maintain a working knowledge of the NISPOM, Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs) and other applicable US Government security directives.

Assist in the conduct of security self-inspections and internal audits to ensure compliance with government and company regulations/procedures

Prepare and conduct security briefings, develop security education materials, and conduct security refresher training

Investigate security violations and prepare reports specifying preventative action and conduct security incident response.

Develop solutions to a variety of moderately complex security problems.

Maintain personnel security clearance actions, visitor control, physical security, media control, and other security-related functions

Prepare DD254s and maintain contract security compliance

Perform classified document control functions

Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of classified information systems security program (to include physical, administrative, and technical safeguards) in accordance with government and company requirements

Provide guidance to company personnel regarding security requirements.

Perform other security-related duties as assigned.
