Overview
Aurum is seeking suitably qualified candidate to be appointed as a Research Assistant to contribute to ongoing and new research project and to provide data management support in line with study requirements.
Work Description
Support with data collection for ongoing and new projects in line with study protocol and regulations
Provide study-related support to the research team
Data cleaning and entry on REDCap
Contribute to weekly/ monthly data analysis report generation
Preparation for monthly/ quarterly reports
Monitoring and management of source documentation
Administrative duties within the study team as required.
Maintenance of relevant tracking systems e.g. data trackers
Quality Control and Quality Assurance Procedures
Requirements
Education:
Matric
Diploma or Degree is advantageous
Experience:
6 months relevant research or administrative experience with research data
1 year experience in REDCap Data system an added advantage
Driver’s license
Competencies:
MS Office package literacy with skills in word, excel and PowerPoint
Knowledge of Research Project Procedures
Computer literacy
Proficiency in English is compulsory, both written and verbal and another official South African language is an added advantage
Communication skills and ability to problem solve, take initiative and display diligence is essential.
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Strong planning and organization skills.
Good interpersonal skills, flexibility and attention to detail is essential.
