Research Assistant Full-time Job

We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly motivated Research Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will support various research projects, contributing to data collection, analysis, and reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in public health, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the design and implementation of research protocols.

Collect data through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and other methods.

Ensure data quality and accuracy.

Conduct data analysis using statistical software (e.g., SPSS, Stata, R).

Prepare reports, presentations, and manuscripts based on research findings.

Conduct literature reviews and synthesize relevant information.

Assist in the preparation of grant proposals and research reports.

Collaborate with other research team members to achieve project goals.

Maintain accurate records of research activities.

Ensure compliance with ethical guidelines and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Statistics, or a related field. A Master's degree is an added advantage.

Proven experience in research methodology and data analysis.

Proficiency in using statistical software (e.g., SPSS, Stata, R).

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Familiarity with research ethics and regulatory requirements.

Experience in conducting literature reviews and synthesizing information.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in conducting qualitative and quantitative research.

Knowledge of specific research areas relevant to our projects (e.g., maternal and child health, infectious diseases, health systems).

Experience in preparing grant proposals and research reports.

Publications in peer-reviewed journals.
