Renewables expert (Qatar) Full-time Job

We are seeking an energy market expert for a short-term consultancy (half-day) to support an ongoing strategic assessment of renewable and low-carbon power opportunities in Qatar.Scope of workThe expert will participate in a focused virtual session (2–3 hours) to provide insight on:Recent market trends, investment climate, and regulatory context;Competitive landscape, key players, and ongoing or planned projects;Pricing structures (PPA / tariff), grid conditions, and policy direction;Main challenges and opportunities for Independent Power Producers (IPPs) and new entrants.Technical domains of interest (one or several)Utility-scale marketCommercial & industrial (C&I) and distributed solar marketsPublic / street lighting programsBESSHydrogen and Power-to-X initiativesPumped hydro storage (PHS)Combined-cycle gas turbine (CCGT) developments and hybrid systemsProfile sought8–20 years of experience in energy, utilities, or infrastructure in the Middle East;Proven expertise in at least one of the above markets or technologies;Ability to provide concrete, up-to-date market insights;Fluent in English (Arabic is an asset).Engagement formatDuration: half-day (virtual session)Timing: November 2025Remuneration: expert rate, commensurate with experienceInterested experts are invited to contact us directly with a brief overview of their relevant experience.
