The Regulatory Reporting Lead is responsible for the accurate and timely preparation and submission of regulatory capital submissions, including the Bermuda Solvency Capital Requirement (BSCR) filing, quarterly and annual statutory financial returns, NAIC filings, Economic Substance Act filings and other regulatory submissions and jurisdictional filings.
The Regulatory Reporting Lead will also contribute to the development and execution of strategic initiatives by providing expertise on BSCR rules and other relevant regulatory requirements.
This role-holder will collaborate closely with actuarial, finance, and risk teams to maintain high standards of reporting integrity and drive ongoing improvements and efficiencies in relevant processes.
We’re seeking a seasoned professional with deep expertise in regulatory reporting, ideally with strong BSCR experience and a solid understanding of Bermuda’s financial and regulatory landscape. This role offers the opportunity to lead and enhance our reporting frameworks within a dynamic insurance and reinsurance environment. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders across finance, actuarial, and risk, ensuring compliance and strategic alignment with Bermuda Monetary Authority requirements. About QBE Capital
Writing :$3bn GWP p.a., QBE Capital is an important exposure and capital management vehicle for QBE Group. It is on an exciting journey, having recently been granted an expanded licence to enable it to underwrite third-party business, in addition to its existing role of underwriting internal reinsurance for divisions within QBE Group. It is key to the placement of the Group’s external reinsurance programme and played a pivotal role in the QBE Cat Bond issue in January and the loss portfolio transfers executed by the Group in recent years.
Your New Role
The Regulatory Reporting Lead is responsible for the accurate and timely preparation and submission of regulatory capital submissions, including the Bermuda Solvency Capital Requirement (BSCR) filing, quarterly and annual statutory financial returns, NAIC filings, Economic Substance Act filings and other regulatory submissions and jurisdictional filings.
The Regulatory Reporting Lead will also contribute to the development and execution of strategic initiatives by providing expertise on BSCR rules and other relevant regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
Co-ordinate the end-to-end process for BSCR and other regulatory capital returns
Interpret and apply regulatory guidance from the Bermuda Monetary Authority (BMA) and other relevant bodies
Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on reporting and capital requirements
Coordinate with actuarial and finance teams to gather data on a timely basis and validate inputs.
Maintain documentation and audit trails for all submissions and provide input to external audit process as required
Ensure the financial control environment in which BSCR and other regulatory capital returns are produced is robust
Proactively contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives as appropriate
Support regulatory inspections and respond to queries from supervisory authorities
Build close and collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders within QBE Capital and across QBE Group
Assist in the preparation and presentation of reports to governance forums, board and management committee reports
About You
Qualified accountant with at least five years’ post-qualification experience in an insurance environment
Strong understanding and experience in the preparation and review of BSCR reporting
High attention to detail and ability to manage complex data sets
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Knowledge of IFRS 17 desirable but not essential
Solid understanding of general (re)insurance
Proficiency in accounting software and tools; experience with Workiva beneficial
Collaborative and highly proactive team-player
High integrity
