Rangers ensure that Queensland’s national parks, state forests & reserves are protected, accessible & valued by everyone.The primary focus of this role is the management of Protected Areas, approximately 50,000 hectares, including Glen Rock, Lockyer, Deongwar, & the northern sections of Main Range National Park. A key priority will be ensuring departmental assets & visitor infrastructure are maintained to a high standard.The position will lead a team of rangers responsible for the daily management of parks & forests within the Lockyer Management Unit. While the successful candidate will participate in general operational ranger activities, the primary focus will be on coordinating & overseeing daily management tasks & strategic projects.Everyone at our Department recognises the importance of a healthy environment.The Department of the Environment, Tourism, Science and Innovation (DETSI) contributes to ensuring some of our most diverse natural environments aremaintained for the health and prosperity of current and future generations.
