Job Title: QHS Coordinator AFRICA

Responsibility Scope: AFRICA

Reports to: QHSE Director AFRICA

Job Purpose:

QHS Coordinator AFRICA is responsible for developing, maintaining, and implementing Company Quality, Health, and Safety (QHS) Management System. The QHS Coordinator will be fully responsible for implementing safe systems of work and safe behavioral practices at the African level of the organization. This position provides QHS guidance to the organization and supports the operation process to maintain and continually improve the safety culture and performance, in line with the organization’s needs to comply with business objectives in the short, medium, and long terms and in accordance with the terms of our various contracts and the QHS Management system.

Overall responsibilities:

ÞMain tasks:

Lead the documentary review project in collaboration with all services.

Create a committee for review and harmonization of the documentary system at the African level.

develop the Quality manual.

Participate in the preparation of Management review.

Manage the training program on all African procedures.

Develop, implement, and improveQHS management systems, processes, and procedures to support business operations in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and BV group requirements.

Communicate information on the QHSE Management System throughout the organization and promotes QHSE awareness through various communication channels, by inductions, trainings, campaigns, flyers, videos, emails, etc. in consultation with all relevant district’s Africa.

Follows up on the preventive and / or corrective actions identified during the inspections and monitors the timely closing of the actions in coordination with group and Africa districts.

Develops, facilitate and review QHSE risk assessments for activities in consultation with the operations team.

Record QHS key performance indicators on a monthly basis and issue Reports as necessary. Suggest and advise changes to ensure continuous improvement on any additional effective KPIs to be added in the system as part of continual improvement.

Develops, implements, and encourages the behavioral based safety culture in the organization through safe job observations and inspections.

Actively participate in the HSE incident investigations and prepare required reports in consultation with management.

Understand, implement, and follow the QHSE policies.

Report any QHSE incident immediately in accordance with BV QHSE procedures and cardinal rules.

Þ Education and Experience Required

Bac +5 level with a minimum Master profile in HSE or equivalent

Junior profile

Þ IT Skills

Proficiency in Office pack, Canva, etc.

Þ Language skills

Good command of written and spoken English.
