Job TypeFull-timeDescriptionThe Purchasing Agent (PA) is responsible for requesting quotes and placing orders for MRO supplies and project materials. The PA will accurately enter purchase orders, process them, and track orders to ensure delivery schedules are met. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational, communication, and quantitative skills, as well as the versatility to manage multiple ongoing projects simultaneously and work to high standards of excellence.Responsibilities Review and interpret Material Requirements Planning (MRP)Control inventory levelsEvaluate supplier profiles, request and analyze bidsObtain quotes, negotiate prices, and award purchase orders based on total cost analysisProcess purchase orders, expedite, and ensure timely order confirmationsProcess data from internal and external portalsResolve availability issuesTrack orders to ensure delivery schedules are metCoordinate deliveries and pickupsResolve discrepancies in invoices and receiptsHandle claims and returnsProvide resolution on the status of any supplier quality or delivery issues to internal customersCommunicate supplier concerns and/or issues to management to improve material flow efficiencyReport discrepancies within the Material Catalog for proper handlingAssist in identifying/depleting obsolete materials and excess inventoryPrepare and present detailed reports and other duties as assigned.Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or a related field preferred2+ years of experience as a Purchasing Agent and/or Buyer for Indirects, MRO, and/or ProjectsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsBilingual – English and SpanishMust reside in Santo DomingoStrong organizational and time management skillsAbility to multitask and work as part of a diverse teamProblem-solving skills and ability to interact with all levels of managementStrong analytical mindsetWorking knowledge of MRP/ERP systemsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
