Job Summary:As a member of the project team, you will provide support to the implementation of the project activities in the assigned technical area toward achieving project objectives. Your coordination and communication skills will ensure that the project consistently applies best practices and constantly works towards improving the impact of its benefits to those we serve.Responsibilities: Support coordination and implementation of all assigned project activities as outlined in the detailed implementation plan in line with CRS program quality principles and standards, donor requirements, and local regulations. Support assigned project budget activities and complete all cash/check requests as needed, monitor budget expenditures to ensure proper stewardship of project funds. Provide technical guidance and support to partner staff to ensure the use of appropriate standards, guidelines and standard approaches. Contribute to knowledge management and learning through collecting and analyzing data, evaluating lessons learned, and incorporating recommendations into new activities and strategies. Support community mobilization efforts, including but not limited to community mapping exercises, establishment of working groups, preparation of events to inform communities on project implementation and project accomplishments. As requested by supervisor, support in external representation (donors, regional institutions, etc.). Complete project documentation for assigned activities. Assist with identifying information for case studies and reports on promising practices. As appropriate, liaise with government entities on work permits for international consultants coming to Guatemala.Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required in International Development, International Relations or other Social Science field Minimum of two years’ experience in project support ideally in the field of livelihoods programming Experience working with partners in the implementation of field-based projects Ability to maintain focus and adhere to deadlines Fluency in Spanish and English is requiredRequired Languages - English and Spanish fluency required.Travel - Must be willing and able to travel up to 40 % in the assigned geographic region.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Good relationship management skills and the ability to work closely with local partners and community members. Attention to details, accuracy and timeliness in executing assigned responsibilities. Proactive, results-oriented and service-oriented. Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office products, in particular Excel and MS Project Familiarity with qualitative and quantitative data gathering techniques.Preferred Qualifications Prior experience with programs addressing employment challenges Prior experience implementing or supporting monitoring, evaluation and research of livelihoods programs.
