Prime Mover Operator / Driver Full-time Job

The Opportunity

We are seeking experienced and safety-focused Onsite Drivers – Prime Mover Operators to join our project teams working on major energy transition projects. This role is critical to supporting construction activities by transporting and delivering poles directly to pegged locations on site. These are full-time FIFO positions offering long-term opportunities, with successful candidates potentially securing ongoing project work.

Roster & Location

FIFO from Perth to the Pilbara

2:1 roster

12-hour shifts

Permanent rate: $48/hr plus penalties.

Key Responsibilities

Safely operate a prime mover in accordance with site and company requirements.

Transport and deliver poles to peg points as directed by site supervisors.

Conduct daily pre-start checks and routine maintenance on vehicles.

Ensure all loads are properly secured and transported in compliance with load restraint regulations.

Assist site teams with pole positioning and movement where required.

Complete trip sheets, logbooks, and other required documentation accurately.

Comply with all site safety, traffic management, and environmental procedures.

Report defects, incidents, or near misses immediately to supervisors.

Qualifications & Experience

Previous experience operating a prime mover in construction, mining, or heavy industry environments.

Current MC or HC Driver’s Licence (mandatory).

Construction White Card (mandatory).

Proven ability to work safely in high-risk environments.

Sound knowledge of load restraint and heavy haulage requirements.

Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen.
