The Role of the Pool & Beach Attendant

The Pool and Beach Attendant is a key member of the Operations team, dedicated to delivering an exceptional experience for Ocean Club guests through positive interactions, anticipating needs, and providing top-quality service. Responsibilities include welcoming guests to the outdoor amenities, escorting them to available pool or beach chairs, and assisting with any requests. The role also involves performing daily opening, operating, and closing duties for the area as required. This position requires working continuously in an outdoor environment.

Key Functions

Reports to work punctually at the scheduled time and in accordance with dress code and appearance standards.

Assists colleagues as needed to provide the most efficient service.

Performs daily opening, operating, and closing duties according to departmental guidelines. These duties include, but are not limited to:

Cleaning the entire pool deck, beach area, surrounding areas, and landscaping of all trash and debris, ensuring proper disposal at designated locations.

Setting up and breaking down pool and beach lounge chairs. Chairs should be organized in a preset linear fashion unless otherwise instructed by the management team. Cleans all chairs and tables prior to guest arrival and throughout the day as needed to maintain the quality of the area.

Meets and greets all guests upon arrival and escorts them to available lounge chairs.

Sets up towels, Bimini tops, ashtrays, tables, or any other service items requested by guests.

Interacts with and assists guests throughout the shift to ensure their satisfaction.

Coordinates with all necessary departments to provide superior guest service and fulfill guest requests.

Maintains cleanliness standards for the pool deck, beach areas, and surrounding areas.

Places towel bins in designated areas. Collects used towels from the pool deck, beach area, and other outdoor locations, and deposits them in designated bins. Collects all towel bins from outdoor areas and returns them to the Laundry holding areas as required.

All items left by resort guests in the pool deck or beach areas must be turned into Lost & Found immediately.

Performs periodic deep cleaning of beach furniture, tables, and Bimini tops.

Maintains a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times.

Assists other department team members as needed to ensure proper guest service levels are maintained.
