The Specialist for Occupational Safety is responsible for the following:Providing support in establishing, improving and implementing governance and programs to build and sustain a pro-active OS management cultureProviding support in the implementation of OS management program and recommending improvements in pursuit of continual improvementProviding support to OSH Manager and BU SHE/OSH Focal Points for needed stakeholder engagement activitiesEvaluating the effectiveness of OSH compliance programs and initiatives thru audits and regular performance assessmentsMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Engineering or any 4-year science related courseAt least 5 years’ progressive experience in industrial OS management in multinational power generation, oil and gas, chemical, or related hazardous industriesExperience in implementation and audit of Occupational Safety and Health programsKnowledge on safe work systems Knowledge on SHE technical process hazard assessments Knowledge on third party Occupational Safety and Health standards Knowledge on incident investigation and root cause analysisKnowledge on Philippine environment national and local laws and regulations Knowledge on incident management and command systems and structuresKnowledge on day-to-day power plant and other industrial-type operationsKnowledge on pollution control, mitigation, and abatement processesAbility to develop Occupational Safety and Health programs and initiatives in line with corporate direction, strategy, legal, and statutory requirementsAbility to design, implement, and audit Occupational Safety and Health management systems
