That means the home if often a hive of activity with residents and visitors enjoying spending time together around the spacious home.Mō te tūranga - About the roleResponsibilitiesAs a Kitchen hand, you will be responsible for assisting the Food Services Team Leader to prepare and serve tasty and nutritious meals for lunch and dinner. Confidence in the kitchen with meal preparation is important along with the following:Prepare morning and afternoon tea, as well as daily mealsClear tables when all residents have finished eating Ensure meals are served at the appropriate size and temperature Maintain daily food and fridge temperature checks Operate within food hygiene standards and protocols Be considerate of residents during mealtimes and ensure their needs are met appropriatelyAs there will be a requirement to carry out meal preparation, some flexibility regarding daily duties will be expected to meet the needs of the kitchen.Hours for this role are in the afternoon 12.30pm to 8pm. There is a possibility of additional hours at times to cover leave and so flexibility and willingness to help at these times is always appreciated!Mō koe - About youSkillsAs well as a passion for the wellbeing of our elders, you will be enthusiastic but patient and well organised with great interpersonal skills. You will share our values of empathy, compassion, and respect.
