Mechanical Supervisor Kazakhstan, Tengiz 6 Months Renewable Contract Negotiable Day Rate NES Fircroft is looking for a Mechanical Supervisor who is going to supervise contractor operations within the required area in accordance with project execution plans. Key Accountabilities: Supervises contractor operations within the required area in accordance with project execution plans, adhering to Company HSSE standards. Verifies correct installation, preparation, preservation of project equipment, assuring adequate alignment of Mechanical systems, in coordination with engineering teams, vendors, subcontractors, commissioning teams, and other project stakeholders. Coordinates, performs/supervises mechanical testing activities. Attends project-related meetings as required and advises Company stakeholders on the progress, planning of activities related to his/her discipline. Reviews contractor’s deliverables to assure all company standards, client’s expectations, code and regulatory requirements are met. Supports technical bid evaluation. Develops / improves Mechanical project specification and ensures technical compliance in project specifications. Executes work with appropriate software, programs, codes & standards and reviews design calculations when assigned. Contributes to safe working attitude of the site works with leadership and by example (toolbox meetings, behavioral safety conversations, wearing full PPE). Pro-actively manages safety, progress and ensures Contractors delivers within set constraints, and reports on same on timely basis. Assist Site Team in overseeing project schedule, cost and contractual requirements; monitors adherence to Project requirements by Contractor, and pro-actively alerts Construction/Project Managers when necessary. Coordinates and liaises with Project Engineer to address all design related technical queries. Responds to contractor field queries to facilitate construction progress. Interfaces effectively with Engineering and all relevant departments. Supports development of specific area Mechanical detailed design to enable construction phase Essential Skills: Recognized relevant Degree qualification, preferred. Good computer literacy in general and Microsoft Office suite. Advanced proficiency in both spoken and written English language skills. Russian/Kazakh language would be of benefit Understanding and Experience of Permit to Work Systems, Job Hazard Analysis and Task Risk Assessment processes. Knowledge of Company Management System (CMS) Processes, Standards and Procedures applicable to engineering / construction activities. Proven supervisory experience for contractor(s), overseeing all phases of construction activities. Working knowledge of local and international design codes, standards, regulatory requirements related to oil and gas related industry projects. Demonstrated understanding and execution of QA/QC processes relevant to site engineering activities including all associated test requirements and associated documentation
