Marine Technician Full-time Job

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Marine Technician located in George Town, Grand Cayman. We’re seeking candidates who are looking for a stable,long-term positionrather than a short-term role. The Marine Technician will be responsible for themaintenanceandrepairof marine motors and propulsion systems (primarily onMercury/MerCruiserproducts), performing diagnostic tests, completing re-powers and addressing other technical issues. The technician will work to ensure customer needs are met and provide expert advice on the care and maintenance of marine equipment.

Essential Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in the repair and maintenance of marine gasoline/diesel engines
• Mercury/MerCruiser Certifications (Other relevant technical certifications will be considered)
• Strong knowledge and skills in performing diagnostic tests and using diagnostic equipment
• Must have tools
• Must have a valid driver's license and operable vehicle (or willingness to obtain one)
• Ability to drive a boat up to 50ft
• Good written and verbal English

Additional Beneficial Qualifications

• Experience working on Inboard or Sterndrive engines
• Experience in electrical rigging
• Experience working on Volvo Penta or Yanmar engines
• Experience working on vessels in saltwater
