At Mavenir we are driving the transformation of the telecommunications landscape.Role SummaryWe have a new position within our Europe Technical team for a pre­sales solution architect professional with significant experience within the EPC/IMS/5G Core industry.

This position will be based in Mavenir’s EMEA region but based in one of our Northern European offices, however the role will come with regular travel throughout the region; work closely within a small team, & report to the EMEA Presales VP. A right to work in Europe is essential.This role will be pivotal in ensuring the continued development of our solutions and will be able to influence the direction of the customer proposition. Previous experience in MNO Core/IMS or network packet core design/strategy departments will be considered beneficial to the application.Candidates from any Scandinavian country are suitable for this role, and we are open to considering them.Key Responsibilities:Contribute to the development and refinement of Mavenir’s Network vIMS Core network strategyContribute to the development and refinement of Mavenir’s Cloud based 4/5G Network Core and its deployment methodologies.Contribute to the development and refinement of Mavenir’s messaging and security solutions and its deployment methodologies.Assist sales team in all phases of the selling process.Interact with internal and external customers.Work with Account managers to identify/qualify customer & prospect opportunities & define requirementsWork with Product Managers to reflect customer requirements in feature set & road mapLead, manage & provide direct technical input to customer RFXs.Understand pricing mechanisms and support sales team in building commercial proposals.Maintain contact and open communication with customers to assist with future needs.Active in tender submissions .Preparation of technical sales materials including collateral, quotation, timeline, project plan and solution proposals.Lead POC activities with customersCreate content to support the technical strength of the Mavenir solutionsJob Requirements:Excellent understanding of vIMS and understanding of vendor landscape and competitive solutions.Excellent understanding of Packet Core technology in a virtualised environment and understanding of vendor landscape and competitive solutions.Excellent understanding of public/hybrid and private cloud solutions including automation and migration strategies.Ability to influence and interact with all levels- from CTO to individual designerGood understanding of LTE 4G & 5G and wireless technologies and understanding of the development of virtualised EPC and 5G Core landscape including vendors/products/key attributesGood understanding of the 3GPP standards.Good understanding of operator core and IT networks including IT/OSS integration requirements for commercial rollout of solutions.Good understanding of NFVi in carrier grade environments (either VNF or Container based)Good understanding of MNO security and fraud technologies.Excellent understanding of the technology and deployment methods used to support VoLTE & VoWiFi.Good understanding of User Equipment Client and App capabilities in the mobile space.Good understanding of the move to virtualise core network elements and how this impacts performance and cost.Highly proficient listener & consultative sales style with the ability to shape customer thinkingExcellent communications skills in verbal, written and presentation forms at senior levels.Proficiency in at least one Nordic language is mandatory.Acute attention to detail & organizationEnergetic and creative with an upbeat, positive attitudeA team player who works well with others, who has strong influencing skills, and is creative and entrepreneurialSignificant, proven and demonstratable cellular wireless industry experienceExcellent presentation and workshop hosting skills with the ability to influence the customer senior technology teams.Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent
