Logistics Operations Leader Germany Full-time Job

In this role you will coordinate the activities of a group of Plant Logistics Leads (defining COTs and performance review) and validate best plant logistics organization with Plant Managers in the North Central Europe Area (Netherlands, Germany, Czech Republic, Polonia, Estonia). You will work with the Logistic Lead of the North Central Europe Area, defining the proper best service level to be delivered by logistics organization within the perimeter.

You will:

• Coordinate cross-plants logistics operations within the respective area

• With the NCE Area Logistics Lead, lead integration, within the area, between Logistics and Sales and between Logistics and Production Planning

• Optimize the use of storage capacity

• Monitor old age stock and heldware stock at area level

• Manage relationships with logistic providers (transport, warehousing and on site operations) and Returnable Packaging service suppliers

• Ensure that outsourced activities are monitored at plant level based on monthly KPI reviews

• Together with NCE Area Logistics Leader, participate in periodic business reviews to understand the management perspective and strategic outlook, and contribute with useful insights and levers to achieve defined area's financial and operational performance.

• Optimize Logistics costs through improved organization and through projects implementation following data driven and KPIs approach

• Ensure compliance with European Policies, SOX and Internal Audit control

• Gather information regarding the customers’ needs and ensure they are aligned with appropriate cost to serve approach

• Review services periodically to assure the continuous improvement of logistics performance

• Adapt logistics organization to improve service and efficiency in total system cost perspective Qualifications

• Logistics/Management professional studies

• 3/5-plus years managing logistics functions in a comparable industry

• Proven leadership and organizational skills

• Strong focus on delivering results

• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel (pivot tables), and Word

• Working experience with SAP (preferably advanced user)

• Languages: German – advanced level, English - written and oral advanced working proficiency Additional Information We are flexible in terms of your place of living.
