We are seeking an experienced and proactive Learning & Development Manager to drive the design, delivery, and evolution of our learning strategy across RVG. This role is central to building organisational and people capability, shaping development pathways, and embedding a culture of growth, performance, and talent retention.You will work closely with teams, managers, and key stakeholders to understand capability needs, design effective learning solutions, and lead key L&D initiatives that contribute directly to our wider business strategy.This is an exciting opportunity for an L&D professional who thrives on impact, collaboration, and creating future-ready talent programmes.Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness PartneringProvide strong business partnering support, advice and guidance on all L&D mattersWork collaboratively with teams, managers and stakeholders to support capability and skill development across RVGLead new L&D-related projects aligned to the Business Strategy and wider organisational objectivesDevelop, review and maintain L&D policies and proceduresSupport the induction process for new startersManage relationships with external partners, suppliers and consultantsLearning & Development StrategyLead L&D projects and initiatives aligned to the overall L&D strategyPromote and embed a coaching and mentoring culturePartner with the Head of HR in the annual Talent Review processSupport creation of individual development plans and succession plans for high-potential employeesTraining & DevelopmentAssess capability and training needs across teams and departmentsDesign and deliver high-quality training programmes (induction, leadership, personal development and more)Coordinate training schedules, venues, logistics and attendanceSelect and manage external training providers as neededDevelop and maintain the Annual Company Training PlanEvaluate all L&D interventions, reporting on ROI and KPIsCompliance & LMSOversee all compliance learning and completion rates via the Learning Management SystemMaintain the Compliance Matrix and ensure annual reviews with stakeholdersFully own the management and upkeep of the LMSDesign, develop or procure digital learning content that meets business needsTalent Pathways & Career DevelopmentAdvise on professional and academic qualification pathwaysDevelop and implement a Skills & Competency Framework for all rolesBuild clear career pathways for key roles across RVGContinuously refine and improve the induction and onboarding journeyOwn and maximise use of the Apprenticeship LevyReporting & BudgetProduce monthly compliance reports and quarterly L&D KPIs for the boardSupport the Director of People & Change in planning and managing the training budgetExperience & AttributesAttributesExceptional organisational, planning and communication skillsA proactive, supportive team player with strong stakeholder skillsCustomer-focused with excellent problem-solving capabilityDiscreet, diplomatic and able to maintain confidentiality at all timesConfident working autonomously or collaborativelySkilled at building credibility and delivering impactful solutionsStrong strategic thinking, with the ability to balance immediate needs and long-term planningExperience4 - 6 years' experience in Learning & DevelopmentProven experience developing teams, managers and talent pathwaysExperience across both large organisations and SMEs, with an understanding of how to balance scalability and agilityStrong knowledge of MS Office and LMS platformsWillingness and flexibility to travel across the UKWhy Join Us?You'll play a pivotal role in shaping our people development culture and ensuring our teams have the skills, knowledge and support they need to grow.
