Landscape Technician Full-time Job

As a Full-Time Landscape Technician at Sozoroad, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the exterior spaces of our clients’ properties are impeccably maintained, complementing the work of our Cleaning Technician . Your primary responsibility will be to enhance the appearance and health of gardens, lawns, and outdoor areas, contributing to the overall appeal and value of the properties. You will be working in close collaboration with the interior maintenance team to ensure a seamless aesthetic transition between indoor and outdoor spaces.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular landscape maintenance duties such as lawn mowing, edging, trimming, planting, and weeding.
  
• Maintain garden beds, trees, shrubs, and plants to ensure they are healthy, well-groomed, and visually appealing.
  
• Conduct soil and plant health assessments, and apply fertilizers, pesticides, or organic solutions when necessary.
  
• Operate and maintain landscaping equipment such as lawn mowers, trimmers, leaf blowers, and hedge clippers.
  
• Coordinate with the Cleaning Technician to ensure the property’s overall appearance meets Sozoroad’s standards.
  
• Assist with outdoor cleaning tasks, such as sweeping pathways, removing debris, and power washing exterior surfaces.
  
• Install new landscaping features or redesign existing ones as needed to enhance the overall property aesthetic.
  
• Monitor irrigation systems to ensure they are functioning properly, and make adjustments or repairs as needed.
  
• Stay updated on the latest landscaping techniques, tools, and eco-friendly practices.
  
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Requirements

• Previous experience in landscaping or groundskeeping is preferred.
• Familiarity with landscape maintenance tools and equipment, including lawnmowers, trimmers, and irrigation systems.
• Strong understanding of plant care, soil management, and eco-friendly landscaping techniques.
• Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, bending, and operating equipment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, collaborating with the interior maintenance staff.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of outdoor care.
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is preferred but not required.
• Flexibility to work on-site at various properties around Trinidad and Tobago.
