Job Summary:

As a Junior Accountant, you will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day accounting operations, including bookkeeping, preparing financial statements, and supporting senior accountants with various tasks. This is an entry-level position that requires attention to detail and a passion for learning. No prior experience is necessary, but any relevant experience or internships will be considered a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with company policies.

• Record daily financial transactions, including invoices, receipts, payments, and payroll entries.

• Help in preparing financial statements and reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

• Support in processing accounts payable and receivable.

• Reconcile bank statements and track company expenses.

• Assist senior accountants in preparing for audits and tax filings.

• Help with monthly and yearly closings.

• Participate in ongoing financial education and training opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or final-year student).

• No previous experience required, but internships or relevant experience in accounting is a plus.

• Basic understanding of accounting principles (GAAP is a plus).

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, etc.) is an advantage.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
