Do you enjoy organising events and working with international students and would you like to make a real impact on Radboud University’s reputation worldwide? We are looking for an International Recruitment & Events Coordinator to facilitate our international recruitment activities and thus our enrolments.
As an International Marketeer & Events Coordinator, you will play a key role in developing, implementing and evaluating Radboud University’s international recruitment and enrolment strategy. Your primary focus will be attracting talented international students and ensuring that recruitment targets are met. In doing so, you will directly contribute to enhancing the university’s global visibility and appeal.
In this dynamic role, you will ensure that the events you are responsible for (online or on-site) run smoothly, are professionally presented and provide a warm and informative experience for prospective students. You will be the driving force behind open days and campus visits, working closely with the international recruitment team. From preparing materials and coordinating registrations to welcoming visitors and supporting presentations, no two days are the same!
Your Main Tasks
Event Coordination: You will be at the heart of our international recruitment events, ensuring everything is perfectly organised and executed, both online and on-site, to showcase Radboud University and its study programmes.
Team Leadership: You will lead and coordinate our international team of student assistants and ambassadors. You will recruit new team members, manage schedules, provide feedback and ensure the team feels confident and supported. You will act as the main point of contact for ambassadors, student assistants and internal teams. Furthermore, you will ensure alignment across teams and maintain smooth information flow to deliver a high-quality recruitment experience.
Portal & Communication Updates: You will update student portals, newsletters and other communication channels to keep prospective and admitted students informed about events, programmes and important deadlines.
This position offers the opportunity to combine strategy, relationship management and creative marketing in an international context. Most importantly, your efforts will directly support international students in finding their way to Radboud University and will contribute to strengthening the university’s reputation worldwide.
If you are enthusiastic, hands-on and thrive in a fast-paced international environment, this is the perfect full-time opportunity to grow your career while helping students discover Radboud University. Ready to make a difference? Join us and be at the heart of our international recruitment journey!
What has stayed with me from the very beginning is how helpful colleagues are. That open atmosphere makes working here a pleasure.
Charissa van Mourik
Project Manager, Savings Programme for University Operations
‘When I was studying Business Administration and applying for jobs at large commercial companies, I found myself wondering: would this really make me happy? At the same time, I was already working as a student assistant at Radboud University. When my supervisor encouraged me to apply for a new position within the university, I thought: this is a place where I can truly make a difference. I decided to stay and eleven years later, I still enjoy coming to work every day.
What has stayed with me from the start is the social relevance of the work. Whether I was supporting students going on exchange or, in my current role, contributing to programmes that improve our university operations, I have always felt that my work matters. And you’re never on your own here. Everywhere I have worked, I have met colleagues who are ready to help, share ideas and work things out together. The atmosphere is collegial and approachable: people easily drop by each other’s offices to brainstorm or solve something together. There is also room to celebrate successes or simply share a laugh. It makes you feel at home quickly and makes collaboration enjoyable.
The employment conditions are another major advantage. The university offers a lot of flexibility, which makes it easier to combine work and family life. With two young children, I really value being able to spend school holidays with them. It feels like a gift to yourself and to your children: the memories you create together stay with you forever.’
Does this sound like you?
You have a university degree in marketing, communications, international business, combined with at least three to five years of relevant experience in (international) marketing or student recruitment.
You have an excellent command of Dutch and English (German is an advantage).
You have proven practical experience in event organisation.
You have experience with Excel and CRM systems.
You have strong organisational skills, a structured working style and attention to detail. You are solution-oriented, flexible, proactive and customer-friendly.
You enjoy coaching and supporting international student assistants and ambassadors.
You are a service-oriented team player with good communication and event hosting skills.
You are willing to work flexibly during peak periods.
You have a fact-based working style, i.e. you are able to use data and evidence to inform and make decisions and improve recruitment strategies.
What we offer you
This position is initially offered for a period of one year due to temporary funding. The appointment has a project-based character and offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in international recruitment and to contribute to one of the organization’s key objectives.
