Internal Audit Assistant II Full-time Job

Overview

The Internal Audit Assistant II will provide direct assistance to the Group Internal Auditor with developing, supporting and executing the annual Internal Audit Plan for the Cable Bahamas Ltd.’s group of companies (“Group”).

Responsibilities

• Assist in executing audit engagements, including performing risk assessments, audit planning, walkthroughs and audit testing

• Interpret and evaluate audit findings and communicate accordingly to the Group Internal Auditor

• Identify and document audit issues, concerns and recommendations to strengthen internal controls and improve operational efficiency

• Prepare clear and concise documentation and contribute to the preparation of the audit reports in a timely manner

• Assist in tracking outstanding action items including following up with management and closing remediated points

• Assist with the preparation of monthly and quarterly status update reports

• Communicate the progress of assigned tasks to the Group Internal Auditor in a timely manner

• Identify, develop and implement data analytics measures to streamline internal audit processes and improve audit quality

• Create process flows for business processes

• Assist in special projects such as consulting, adhoc requests and investigations

• Perform additional tasks as defined by management

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Information Systems or a related field

• Relevant professional credentials such as Certified Internal Auditor (“CIA”) or Certified Public Accountant (“CPA”)

• Strong information systems knowledge, including assessing relevant controls, is a plus

• Ability to successfully execute and complete audits, investigations and special projects under tight deadlines

• Ability to work with minimal supervision, manages own time effectively and maintains control over all responsibilities

• Proficient in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint skills

• Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills

Work Experience

Demonstrated experience of at least two (2) years in auditing and/or accounting practices or information systems.
