Intern - Research and Development Full-time Job

The Intern - Research and Development will be assisting with ongoing research activities at Africa Rice Center.

Responsibilities:

Assist with data collection and analysis.

Assist with preparation of reports and publications.

Assist with general laboratory maintenance.

Conduct experiments.

Contribute to research papers, journals, and books.

Maintain and update databases.

Monitor the progression of the program, undertaking assessments and addressing gaps.

Performing clerical duties and maintain appropriate documentation

Preparing and analyzing reports

Presenting findings and suggestions to higher-ups

Qualifications:

Minimum of Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Science or a related field is required

Candidates must have graduated no earlier than January 2023 and must not be planning to enroll in formal academic studies or research training

Knowledge and Experience

Experience with data collection and analysis.

Demonstrable proficiency in communication and report writing; organizational and time management.

Proficiency with word-processing and spreadsheet computer packages are essential. Familiarity with statistics computer packages and quantitative/qualitative data analysis. Computer literacy in the use of email, internet, and Microsoft packages (e.g., MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access).
