You will partner with HR Leadership and business stakeholders on organizational planning and talent strategy, supporting leaders as a coach and trusted partner to identify opportunities to improve org health. You should understand how to design and implement HR programs that solve complex business problems, driving a talent agenda that increases business impact. You should enjoy building innovative programs in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment where you’ll have the opportunity to drive impact. This role reports into the HR Partner Senior Manager for Sub-Saharan Africa.
Responsibilities include:
· Provide strategic thought leadership and coaching to senior leaders across the business and within HR
· Partner with managers and leaders to develop and execute HR strategies and activities that foster growth, innovation, and organizational effectiveness
· Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with HR to develop solutions, programs and policies. Use expertise to provide decision support
· Partner with HR colleagues to develop and implement compensation and rewards strategies that align with business goals and reinforce desired employee behaviors.
· Drive talent management strategies to promote growth and development for employees and to build bench strength and succession plans for key roles.
· Serve as a catalyst for change; guide and direct organizational design, development, and change management solutions
· Serve as a coach and trusted advisor to leaders and managers, providing guidance on employee relations issues, performance management, and leadership development
· Participate in the implementation of new HR systems and processes
· Partner with Legal and Employee Relations team to address employee concerns
· Design and deliver management training in areas such as performance management, compensation, and leadership development
· Ability to travel throughout the SSA region.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of HR Business Partner experience
· Proven ability to diagnose problems using strategic thinking skills as well as drive appropriate solutions with self-initiative.
· Proven record of taking initiative and driving results in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to communicate with diplomacy and reason.
· Comfort with ambiguity; the ability to be flexible and adaptable.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Experience as an HR leader within a sales organization or customer service
· Exceptional listening skills and ability to relate to, influence, and coach employees at all levels in the organization
· Strong understanding of HR best practices and legal compliance requirements.
· Masters/MBA and HR Certification preferred
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Comfortable working with large data sets and can draw out insightful inferences to make recommendations.
