Emirates Flight Catering is seeking a Health & Dietic Specialist who will lead the development of nutritionally balanced menus and provide expert dietetic guidance across all business divisions, ensuring compliance with diverse dietary needs and nutrition standards. Oversee allergen management, nutritional labelling, and training initiatives to promote food safety and regulatory compliance. Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance health, wellness, and service quality, supporting both customer satisfaction and business objectivesKey Result Areas:1.
Develop and review nutritionally balanced menus to ensure alignment with airline, customer, and industry dietary standards to meet diverse nutritional requirements and expectations. 2. Maintain and update SOPs for all special meals, ensuring consistent preparation and compliance with dietary requirements. 3. Manage and ensure accurate allergen declarations and maintain the allergen database for all meals, menus, and products.
This includes regular updates and audits to comply with regulatory requirements and customer specifications, minimizing risk and ensuring food safety across all offerings. 4. Provide nutritional analysis and labelling information to ensure meals/products carry correct dietary and nutritional details. 5. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and consistency in dietetic services delivery. 6.
Customize menus based on specific dietary needs, including medical, cultural, and religious preferences, as per airline or customer requests. 7. Investigate and resolve deviations from approved dietary standards, maintaining compliance and customer satisfaction. 8. Lead allergen awareness and nutrition training sessions for production teams to ensure food safety and dietary compliance, while also promoting healthy eating and nutrition education initiatives across EKFC to support employee and customer wellness.Education Qualification: a) Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics, Nutrition Or Food Science related subject b) Professional certification or licensure in dietetics (preferred) Work Experience: a) Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in a dietetic or food industry environment, preferably with a strong emphasis on allergen management.
Skills: a) Strong knowledge of nutrition, diet therapy, and dietary guidelinesb) Proficient in allergen identification, control procedures, and special dietary needs c) Well-versed in food safety, HACCP, and food labelling regulations d) Skilled in nutritional analysis and use of related software e) Excellent communication, time management, and workload prioritization f) Quality-focused with the ability to work independently and within professional limit
