Kuda is a money app for Africans on a mission to make financial services accessible, affordable and rewarding for every African on the planet.We're a tribe of passionate and diverse people who dreamed of building an inclusive money app that Africans would love so it's only right that we ended up with the name ‘Kuda' which means ‘love' in Shona, a language spoken in the southern part of Africa.We're giving Africans around the world a better alternative to traditional finance by delivering money transfers, smart budgeting and instant access to credit through digital devices.We've raised over $90 million from some of the world's most respected institutional investors, and we're rolling out our game-changing services globally from our offices in Nigeria, South Africa, and the UK.Role OverviewThe Head of Product, Credit will lead Kuda's Credit tribe, driving the strategy, execution, and continuous improvement of all lending-related products and initiatives.This role focuses on building reliable, scalable, and compliant credit solutions that deliver measurable business impact and exceptional customer experiences.You'll own the tribe's roadmap, delivery, and performance, ensuring decisions are data-driven and aligned with Kuda's broader strategic and financial goals.You'll also play a key role in building and developing a strong product team, fostering collaboration and accountability across stakeholders.Responsibilities Delivery & ExecutionLead tribe planning and QBRs, ensuring alignment, clarity, and dependency managementChampion thin-slice, iterative delivery focused on measurable outcomesProvide consistent visibility to leadership through metrics, progress updates, and proactive risk management Data & ExperimentationPromote a culture of data-driven decision-making, establishing strong experimentation and measurement practicesEnsure squads have the insights, analytics, and tools needed for effective prioritisation Product Quality, Risk & ComplianceEnsure all products meet regulatory, compliance, and security requirementsEmbed standards for reliability, performance, accessibility, and localisation into delivery practices People Leadership & Organisation BuildingHire, coach, and develop Product Managers across multiple levelsFoster a culture of clarity, focus, and ownership of outcomesDefine and uphold high standards for product discovery, delivery, and communication craft Day-to-Day CollaborationWith BLO: Align product strategy with business objectives and financial targetsWith DM/TLs: Manage capacity, technical debt, and sustainable delivery practicesWith Other Tribe Leads: Coordinate dependencies and shared initiativesWith Compliance, Legal, Marketing, and CX: Ensure alignment across customer, regulatory, and commercial goalsRequirements5+ years of Product Management experience, including 2+ years leading teams or product portfoliosProven track record of delivering measurable business outcomesStrong fluency in experimentation, analytics, and data-driven prioritisationExcellent stakeholder management and leadership skillsExperience mentoring and scaling Product Managers with a player-coach mindsetNice to HaveBackground in financial services, payments, lending, or infrastructureFamiliarity with compliance frameworks and regulatory environmentsExperience working with growth or data platformsBenefitsAt Kuda, our people are the heart of our business, so we prioritize your welfare.
