We are currently recruiting to the exciting and influential position of Head of Information Systems at The Royal College of Radiologists (RCR). The Head of Information Systems is responsible for strategically planning and leading the Information Systems (IS) function, ensuring the RCR’s information and digital services, and technologies remain current, effective, and efficient. In addition to this, the post-holder also maintains oversight of our Programme and Change Boards, coordinating varied areas of work and aligning them to strategic goals. The successful applicant will be proactive in the seeking out opportunities to develop the IS function to meet the evolving needs of the RCR, moving the organisation forward.

This role will suit a skilled team leader and people manager with effective interpersonal skills as the successful applicant will work closely and build relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, including; managing three talented individuals and overseeing of contractors; advising the Senior Leadership Team; and partnering with external providers to deliver key areas of work.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of enterprise technology solutions in a digital world. Advantageous to the role would be experience of setting, agreeing and implementing a strategic plan for a similar sized organisation. Strong strategic, analytical and evaluative skills are essential in order to grasp and convey complex solutions to a range of different audiences.
