The Alumina Company LLC (TAC) is an upcoming Specialty Alumina manufacturer, strategically located in KEZAD, Abu Dhabi, UAE. Backed by the Maithan Group and led by Aditya Agarwalla, this project brings decades of experience in the global refractory and alumina industry. The state-of-the-art manufacturing facility shall deploy European technology and engineering along with equipment from leading European and Indian partners.

The plant will produce:

§ White Fused Alumina (WFA) – essential for refractories and abrasives.

§ Specialty Calcined Alumina (SCA) – critical for technical ceramics, refractories, and batteries.

Role Summary

The Head of Electrical will lead all electrical, automation, and instrumentation activities across TAC’s UAE facility. The role demands deep expertise in high-voltage and low-voltage systems, furnace power distribution, and industrial automation, with a strong focus on safety, reliability, and uptime.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead design, installation, and maintenance of HV, LV systems for Arc furnace operations/process manufacturing.

• Ensure uninterrupted power supply, safety compliance, and efficiency across all electrical systems.

• Oversee automation and control systems (PLC, SCADA, DCS) and integration with plant operations.

• Drive predictive maintenance, energy optimization, and electrical safety initiatives.

• Liaise with OEMs, EPCs, and consultants during project execution and commissioning.

• Build and train a strong electrical & automation team ensuring adherence to global EHS standards.

• Support digital transformation in maintenance through IoT and condition monitoring tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering (mandatory).

• 15+ years’ experience in heavy industrial, furnace-based, or process manufacturing environments.

• Strong exposure to HV substations, LV systems, electrical protection, and automation.

• Proven record in commissioning and operation of complex power systems.

• Abroad experience (GCC / Europe / Asia) preferred.

• Sound understanding of electrical codes, safety practices, and energy management systems.
