This is a rare opportunity to join the senior leadership team of a pre-IPO stage company and shape the future of the e-commerce industry.As the Group CTO, you will be the global technology leader, responsible for aligning the company's tech vision with its ambitious business goals. You will architect, scale, and innovate the entire technology stack powering a multi-billion-dollar enterprise.Key Responsibilities:Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the long-term technology roadmap, ensuring it accelerates the global business growth and competitive advantage.Scale & Platform Excellence: Oversee the scaling of a robust, secure, and high-performance platform across multiple Southeast Asian countriesInnovation Engine: Drive the adoption of cutting-edge technologies (AI/ML, Data Analytics) to enhance the customer experience, optimize operations, and create new revenue streams.Team Building & Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and scale a large, diverse, and high-calibre engineering organization, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.Data-Driven Decisions: Champion a data-first culture, leveraging vast amounts of data to drive business insights and strategic decisions.Executive Collaboration: Partner closely with the other C-Level Executives and Board Directors to translate business challenges into technology solutions.Key Requirements:A proven CTO or Senior VP of Engineering/Technology with 15-20+ years of experience, including leadership in fast-scaling, consumer-facing tech companies (e-commerce, fintech, marketplace platforms are highly relevant).Has personally architected and scaled a technology platform supporting millions of users and complex transactions.Deep expertise in modern tech stacks: cloud-native architectures (AWS/GCP), microservices, data engineering, and product-led development.A stellar track record of building, inspiring, and retaining top-tier engineering teams of 100+.Exceptional strategic and business acumen; you're as comfortable in a boardroom discussing P&L as you are reviewing code architecture.Experience with the complexities of a multi-country operational footprint is a significant advantage.Please note that due to the highly confidential nature of this search, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for further information regarding the company and role specifics.
