Fund Accountant (Investor Reporting), Successful European Private Equity Investor, London, UK REFERENCE: 10958 /59C Our client is a highly renowned European mid-market private equity investor that is very well-established, focused on partnership with management in buyouts of high-qualities companies in growing sectors. This role will sit in the newly established investor reporting team that covers all aspects of investor/investment operations, financial accounting and fund reporting, alongside ad-hoc project work. You will act as an integral member of the team, assisting two investor reporting managers, whilst mentoring a junior fund accountant. This is a hands-on role, where you will take responsibility for both internal and external financial reporting, with great exposure to working across the business. You will progress into becoming the team expert in one or more key functions, with great progression opportunities in a well-established growing fund. They are highly collegiate within the team, so you will be collaborative and enjoy building new relationships. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Draft investment drawdowns and distributions • Deal with ad hoc investor queries and reporting requests, working with teams both within and outside Finance as required • Assist and help prepare interest schedules for the portfolio investments • Assist with all aspects of fund cash inflows and outflows including quarterly management fee, fund expenses, investment drawdowns and distributions • Ensure the investment management database is kept up to date • Monthly accounting for the various fund entities • Update reporting data and models for the quarterly investor reports (capital account statements, portfolio summary, cash flows etc.) • Prepare the quarterly management fee calculations • Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure timely completion of financial statements and tax returns • Various ad hoc projects to help the team achieve and maintain best practice procedures YOUR PROFILE: • Newly Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) • Strong accounting and Excel skills • Previous financial services experience desirable • Highly organised and attentive to detail • Enthusiastic and motivated team player • Able to work to tight deadlines and flexible to meet shifting workload • Able to develop and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders, including other business lines and functions across the organisation • Take full ownership and responsibility with the scope to become the 'team expert' in one or more key functions
