Location: Bermuda
Position Type: Full-time
Practice Overview:
Our dental practice is committed to providing compassionate, whole health-cantered dental care for the people of Bermuda. We believe in treating patients with integrity, honesty, and a respect for local laws and cultural diversity. Our approach combines excellence in clinical skills with a focus on educating patients about the root causes of oral and overall health concerns, including the importance of nutrition and sleep. We are seeking a like-minded General Dentist to join our team who shares these values and is dedicated to improving patient health outcomes through a functional, evidence-based, and airway-friendly approach to dentistry.
Position Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and qualified General Dentist trained in the USA, Canada, UK, or Australia, who can provide comprehensive and compassionate dental care to patients from diverse backgrounds. The ideal candidate will approach dental care holistically, focusing on the links between oral and systemic health, addressing root causes of disease, and working collaboratively with patients who seek alternative approaches to dental care, actively communicating with their medical providers and other relevant specialists.
Responsibilities:
- Perform general dental procedures with a high standard of care, precision, and attention to detail.
- Educate patients on the relationship between nutrition, health, and oral hygiene to prevent oral diseases.
- Provide guidance on sleep-related breathing disorders, focusing on airway-friendly approaches.
- Foster an environment of respect, non-judgment, and open-mindedness when addressing patients’ preferences for alternative treatments.
- Develop personalized care plans that address the root causes of oral health issues, rather than temporary or superficial solutions.
- Communicate effectively and empathetically with patients, building trust and rapport with a diverse population in Bermuda.
- Adhere to Bermuda’s legal and professional standards and respect the local culture and customs.
- Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing learning in holistic and biological dental practices.
Qualifications:
- DDS, DMD, or equivalent degree from an accredited institution in the USA, Canada, UK, or Australia.
- Active, unencumbered dental license, with eligibility for licensing in Bermuda.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in general dentistry, with a demonstrated ability to integrate whole health and functional approaches into patient care. AEGD or GPR certificates acceptable.
- Strong cultural competence and experience working with diverse patient populations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an empathetic, patient-centered approach to care.
Our Practice Values:
-Integrity: Commitment to honesty, ethical practices, and adherence to laws and standards.
-Compassion: Genuinely caring for each patient, with a desire to educate and empower them for better health.
-Excellence: Dedication to high-quality, holistic care without shortcuts, driven by a genuine desire to serve the people of Bermuda.
What We Offer:
- A supportive, values-driven work environment.
- Opportunities for professional development in biological and holistic dental practices.
- Competitive compensation and a benefits package.
We are seeking a dentist who genuinely wants to make a difference in Bermuda, not for a short-term stay or vacation, but for a commitment up to mid-2026 and an impactful career focused on educating and empowering patients. If you are passionate about whole health and integrity in dentistry, we encourage you to apply.
