Full-Stack Software Engineer | Poland | req80186 You are an experienced Full-Stack Software Engineer and know how to solve challenging problems by bringing domain knowledge, data and code together. Be a part of the Real-Time Geosystems (RGS) team, which is industrializing IoT complex event processing, and other technologies to monitor Kuehne + Nagel freight using AWS cloud.

YOUR ROLE

Be part of a team that takes a successful vision (proof of concept) into operational excellence and makes the product grow. IoT and geo-systems have been demonstrated as vital and powerful technologies to improve the operations of the worlds number one freight-forwarder. Now it is time to take these systems to the next level. You will be playing an #active role in systems definition, technology decision making, and process definitions. You will work on projects in the cloud environment with access to the latest technologies available. Your analytical approach, ability to learn quickly and #innovative mindset will be key indicators of success.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and develop digital products transforming the logistic industry

• Translate business requirements into running software, that includes the chance to actively influencing the product roadmap

• Bring most recent technologies, best practices and quality assurance to the team

• Cooperate with product owners and data experts across the team

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

• 5+ years of experience in software development; Proficiency in OOP programming - we are predominantly a 'JVM shop' (Kotlin/Scala/Java)

• Experience with front-end technologies (Angular or React or similar); comfortable with coding custom JavaScript solutions and aware of typical 'gotchas' around using Javascript language

• Experience with AWS is an advantage. A large range of services is in use at discretion of the developers. Proficiency with Linux and git is required

• Experience with: Python, Docker, microservices, PostGIS, OpenLayers, Shapely is a plus

• Knowledge of software craftsmanship targeting SOLID, CI/CD, clean code

• Experience with Infrastructure as code is a plus

• 'You Build It, You Own It' approach

• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and oral
