Fuel Attendant Full-time Job

Work alongside the dockmaster and base team to ensure an efficient fuel delivery process is in place. What you will be doing:

• Delivering fuel to boats and other equipment which requires fuel around the base

• Monitor diesel and gasoline levels every morning and at close of shift – informing supervisors when levels are low to ensure that the base never runs out of fuel

• Responsible for the locking of all the fuel stations

• Maintenance of the fuel bowsers

• Recording of fuel usage, by boat and by brand, ensuring everything is logged as per company process

• Responsible for the safe depositing of fuel, ensuring not to spill product in the water

• Receive deliveries and complete delivery log accordingly

• Submit all paperwork and receipts to the accounts department at the end of day

• Identify which customers have not pre-paid for fuel, ensure receipts are issued and that payment is obtained

• Ensure H&S process is followed and that the fuel process is safe and carefully managed

• Regular checking of the equipment in use, and cleaning on a daily basis

• Any other reasonable duties as directed by the line manager – when the fuel station is quiet assistance in other areas of the base will be required. The ideal candidate with have the following:

• Polite and helpful demeaner

• Customer facing experience

• Able to work quickly and efficiently, and cope successfully under pressure

• Good understanding of health and safety whilst working in a similar role

• Able to work without supervision

• Comfortable moving on and around boats

• A good communicator – verbally strong, and basic written skills
