What is the opportunity?
This unique position calls on your client-focused expertise and natural problem-solving skills to maximize each client interaction. Specifically, you help clients with their everyday banking needs, via the telephone. As an RBC ambassador, you add value in the moments that matter most to clients and collaborate with RBC partners to help clients achieve their goals.
What will you do?
- Assist clients by utilising RBC resources and materials to support advice and recommendations during client conversations
- Deliver an efficient and effective client experience as outlined in the Client Experience Map and conversation guide
- Use effective listening and probing questions to understand and identify the root cause of the client’s concern or inquiry
- Actively listen and engage clients in conversation to further understand their individual needs
- Apply appropriate processes & procedures to accurately respond to client and complete all client inquiries
- Take ownership for resolving client problems as first point of contact or escalate to the appropriate service partner as required
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Bank’s minimum education requirements of 5 BGCSE subjects, of which Mathematics and English Language are compulsory
- Two (2) years’ experience in a customer service environment
- Experience in call handling and problem resolution
- Demonstrated ability in oral communication skills
- Problem-solving and people skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and proactively connect with clients
- Flexibility, eagerness to learn, strong personal ethics, and a hunger for success
Nice-to-have
- Certificate or diploma would be an asset
Working Conditions
- To operate in a shift environment which may also include working on Saturdays
