About This Role:

The FSA Supervisor works in the field directly coaching, training and providing leadership to a team of field-based sales agents (FSAs) who promote and sell Fenix products in their territory, increasing their ability to effectively reach and serve their communities.
As an FSA Supervisor, you will supervise a team of up to 25 FSAs in a specific territory and act as a direct liaison between Field Management and the FSAs. The successful candidate will thrive in an autonomous role and demonstrate passion for working in the field. The ideal candidate has experience working in sales and leading/coaching a sales team. Most importantly, you are willing to spend 100% of your time in the field leading, training, and driving agent sales.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Leading Agent Productivity
Conduct daily observations in the field, using the agent observation report (AOR) to assess sales behavior and determine the type and method of support necessary for increased effectiveness.
Complete one formal Performance Review per direct report on a weekly basis. Use formal reviews to monitor agent performance metrics and provide actionable, improvement-based coaching and development to bring lagging performers to standards.
Coordinate regular on-the-job training opportunities and participate directly to model successful techniques to FSAs
Ensure Fenix policy is being observed through on-the-ground audits
Assist management in addressing agent fraud
Oversee distribution/collection of work materials such as marketing collateral
Maintain daily performance and compliance expectations, with corresponding tracking documentation
Work together with Management to monitor and manage agent-based attrition and address concerns as necessary.
Be the role model for and hold Agents to daily execution on sales plans: agent routing and daily accountability ( morning & closing briefings )
Ensure all new agents and ongoing agents pass assessment, including demonstration & Fenix training
Drive and Motivate the FSA Team:
Motivate FSAs and track team incentives to encourage maximum team productivity and commitment
Foster teamwork by leading team-building events
Resolve Conflicts, improve agent morale and facilitate inter-agent relationships to develop a supportive & trusting work environment
Manage Customer Service Activities:
Perform market survey studies and collect relevant market information and assist FSAs with customer-related problems
Review the market and customer’s feedback, coordinate the customers meetings to handle any problem for improvement of product performance.
Required Skills & Experience:
2+ years of field sales or field support experience
Sales or Business Development and Team leadership or training experience required
Able to lift and transport moderate loads up to 30 pounds / 13 kilos
Flexible to travel and work in remote locations around Uganda
Strong Computer literacy, ability to manage computer functions related to field data collection using Fenix mobile sales technology and tablet PCs
Strong written and verbal English communication skills required; demonstrated ability to communicate complex concepts effectively and succinctly.
Strong sales aptitude, drive, persistence, and follow-up skills
Exceptional self-motivation, organization, and time-management; must thrive performing both autonomously and collaboratively with a remote, international team.
Superior leadership and interpersonal skills, particularly across cultures; the ability to lead others both through example and direct guidance is crucial. Must be patient and empathetic.
