Estimator - Real Estate Investor and Developer - Cayman Islands - $114,000 Full-time Job

I'm currently working with one of the most exciting investor developers in the world, based in the Cayman Islands who are looking for an Estimator to join their island paradise team.

My client is the the largest developer in these Caribbean islands and has been at the forefront of investment, innovation and industry in the Cayman Islands.

You would be coming onboard to work across hotels, high-end residential and large retail and infrastructure projects.

Main duties and responsibilities of this position include the following:

· Performing cost estimating duties including reviewing project scope of work, specifications, preparing complete and accurate estimates and communicating information to management and clients

· Ability to complete high level / concept estimates and cost plans

· Ability to measure detailed work and prepare detailed BQs in co-ordination with scope and specs

· Researching labour, materials, and equipment pricing and making cost effective recommendations for assigned projects

· Maintaining professional relations with clients, vendors, suppliers and external contacts

· Complying with all estimating procedures from initial tender documentation to final completion of estimate

· Monitor and report on local Cayman and region cost impacts - labour availability, rates, outputs, currency exchanges, import/export taxes and freight costs

· Effectively plan and organize the compilation of numerous estimates or bids concurrently

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or an equivalent combination of technical experience and training.

· Minimum of 5 years demonstrable cost estimating experience within the construction industry, preferably attained in the Caribbean region

· Proficient understanding of measurement and cost planning principles

· Proficient understanding of cost controls, material requirements, building blueprints, and construction requirements

· MRICS or equivalent preferred

My client offers a full relocation and settling in package of $4,000, plus full health insurance for you and a home and car to move straight into whilst settling in. They also take care of visa's and work permits for you and your family.

Salary up to $114,000 + package.
