The impact you’ll makeJoin Lam as an Electrical Engineer and you'll be at the forefront, designing and developing electronic solutions for advanced applications. Your role involves designing and analyzing equipment, conducting experimental tests, evaluating results to create reliable cutting-edge solutions.What You’ll DoYou will be responsible for the design of new products and lifecycle management of existing electronic circuits.You will be responsible for component selection, design, development, testing and evaluation of control circuits for our machines.You will work with a multidisciplinary engineering design team: electrical, mechanical, software, technical support, productivity engineers, and suppliers, on the design, modification, of custom and OEM components.You will need to prepare and analyze test plans and procedures to assure that technical and operational requirements are met and properly demonstrated.You will be responsible for the collection and analysis of relevant material and data in preparation of your presentation at design, project, and program reviews.Who We’re Looking ForMaster degree in Electrical Engineering with 2 years of industry experience or Bachelor’s degree with 3 years’ experience or Technical college (HTL) with 3-5 years of relevant work experienceHands-on expertise in application of power and controls technologies for systems automation.Knowledgeable in CAD tools for circuit design and simulation (e.g., PCAD, ORCAD, ZUKEN, AutoCAD).Solid understanding of AC/DC Power distribution systems.System level knowledge of Electrical architecture, system integration, and applications.Very good oral and written communication skills in EnglishExcellent IT knowledge, e.g. MS Windows, MS Office productsPrefered QualificationsExperience with field busses (e.g.

EtherCAT), measurement and controls technologyAble to drive functional requirements and execute in a dynamic team environmentFamiliar with design for serviceability, manufacturability, reliability, etc.Proficient at troubleshooting systems with tools like network sniffers, protocol analyzers, and tool logsExperience in troubleshooting with problem-solving techniques like 5-why, 8D, fishbones, etc.Appreciates learning and understanding challenges and limitations within other disciplines on system designsWhat We're OfferingThis position is subject to the Austrian Collective Bargaining Agreement for Employees in the Metal Technology Industry in occupation group E or F depending on educational background. A higher payment is negotiable depending on education, expertise and skills. The monthly salary is paid 14 times per year.
