ABOUT THE ROLE

The Director of Sales is responsible for leading the sales function to achieve company revenue goals. This role involves strategic planning, developing sales strategies, managing key client relationships, achieving sales goals and overseeing the daily operations of the sales department.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Tasks include, but are not limited to:

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets.
  • Align sales strategies with company objectives.
  • Analyze market trends and adapt strategies accordingly.

Sales Operations:

  • Oversee the creation and execution of sales plans and goals, including oversight of sales and marketing collateral, digital marketing/SEO, leisure, group and travel agent sales and any third party agency engagements.
  • Ensure efficient sales processes and pipeline management.
  • Manage budgets and sales forecasts.

Client Relationships:

  • Build and maintain relationships with key customers and partners.
  • Participate in high-level negotiations and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Work closely with the marketing department to align strategies.

Reporting & Analysis:

  • Regularly report on sales performance to the executive team.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of sales data to improve future performance.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • 7+ years of experience in hotel sales
  • Previous work in the Bahamas or Caribbean in upscale/luxury segment
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and possess the ability to work as part of a team
  • Highest level of confidentiality & integrity
  • Must be organized, self-motivated, and proactive with a strong attention to detail
  • Proficient with computers (Microsoft Products), POS and technology
