Director of Communications Full-time Job

First Presbyterian Church of Edmond (FPCE) is looking for a Director of Communications to help shape and share our message in a way that glorifies Christ, strengthens our church family, and reaches the Edmond community and beyond. This role is about more than just marketing—it’s a ministry. We need someone who can craft compelling stories, build engagement across digital and traditional platforms, and ensure our communications reflect the heart of our mission: New life through Jesus, for Edmond and the world.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead and implement a clear, Christ-centered communications strategy across all platforms.

• Manage FPCE’s digital presence, including social media, website, and livestream content.

• Oversee video production, photography, and creative media for worship services and special events.

• Partner with pastors, ministry leaders, and volunteers to share stories of faith and transformation.

• Ensure clear and engaging communication with our church family through email, bulletins, and announcements.

• Train and mentor volunteers who serve in media, photography, and communications.

• Steward church communication resources wisely and recommend strategic investments where needed.

Who You Are:

• A committed follower of Jesus with a passion for ministry through communication.

• A creative storyteller who can share the Gospel in a way that resonates with people.

• Skilled in digital media, content creation, and video production (or eager to grow in these areas).

• A strong writer and communicator with experience in branding and messaging.

• A team player who loves collaborating with church staff, volunteers, and leadership.

• Able to navigate social media, websites, and digital tools with ease.

• Excited to equip and mentor volunteers to use their gifts for God’s glory.
