We are seeking an experienced Director, Insurance Finance to lead the financial operations of an international insurance and reinsurance financial institution. This senior leadership role carries full accountability for financial reporting, regulatory compliance, internal controls, liquidity and capital management, and financial planning across multiple legal entities and jurisdictions.

As a key member of the leadership team, the Director will influence financial strategy, ensure compliance with global standards, and represent the organization with auditors, regulators, rating agencies, and insurance counterparties. The role also includes active participation in governance forums, such as the Investment Committee and Board meetings.

Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day financial operations, delivering timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting and analysis

Oversee internal controls, SOX compliance, and manage internal and external audits, including shareholder financial statements

Act as a strategic finance partner to business leaders and collaborate with tax, risk, and finance teams on key financial and regulatory matters

Present financial results, capital planning, and dividend recommendations to the Board; prepare Board materials

Approve payments and investments, oversee reconciliations, and ensure financial controls are operating effectively

Serve as the primary point of contact for rating agencies, preparing financial disclosures, capital models, and participating in annual reviews

Manage operating cash flows, foreign exchange, and liquidity for international insurance entities

Develop and maintain a strong reinsurance finance infrastructure with effective policies, systems, and controls

Lead forecasting and budgeting processes; provide financial insights, monitor results, and drive issue resolution

Communicate financial performance and risk drivers to internal and external stakeholders

Requirements / Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting (or equivalent)

Professional Accounting Designation (CPA, CA, or equivalent)

7-10 years of progressive experience in financial reporting, forecasting, and regulatory compliance

Extensive insurance and reinsurance industry experience, ideally with international exposure

Deep understanding of IFRS, including IFRS 17

Proven leadership and communication skills with experience working with executive teams, auditors, regulators, influential rating agencies and tax authorities
