Job Details

Main objective:

Overall management of the gardens. Monitoring the quantity and quality of fruits on plantations. Making decisions for optimal fruit quality.

Responsibilities:

- Control of horticultural farms located in different regions of Uzbekistan

- Determination and supervision of the optimal period for harvesting

- Monitoring of fruit harvesting, processing, storage, and transport

- Close collaboration with agricultural engineers regarding orchard maintenance

- Regular control of irrigation systems and fruit plant health

- Decision-making to improve quality, optimize yields, and minimize losses

- Evaluation of effectiveness of pest and disease control, development and monitoring of protection and fertilization strategies

- Preparing and controlling reports on yield and production for general director

- Optimizing planting dates to enhance quality and productivity

- Preparing and organizing production plan, crop plans, etc.

Required Skills/Abilities:

- University or agricultural higher education

- Strong and documented theoretical knowledge about horticulture, plant nutrition and fertilization, cultivation technology of pome, stone and nuts fruits

- Minimum of 3-5 years professional experience managing pome and stone orchards is mandatory. At least 1 year practical experiences as Horticultural Farms Director is desirable

- Strong in horticulture

- Understanding of modern trends in horticulture

- Knowledge about agricultural regulations, certification like Global Gap.

- Deep experience of horticultural, agronomy

- Advanced knowledge of planning and forecasting the production process and its indicators, organizing the process, and preparing accurate reports

- Knowledge of principles of working with equipment used in fruit industry

- Communication and Management Skills – communicate professionally and tactfully, working effectively within a group and leading projects/people

- Independent – possess the capacity to work with minimal supervision and ability to anticipate needs and take appropriate initiative

- Able to cope in a technically driven environment

- Goal-oriented individual

- English (advantage).

Conditions:
