Step into a collaborative hub with our revamped office, and enjoy free parking, endless coffee, delicious Lactalis snacks, an on-site gym, and more!About the opportunity:The Demand Planning Analyst is responsible for the short to medium term forecasting of assigned product lines (C&TS Retail/Deli, Food Service/I&E, Fluid, Culture).
The Analyst reviews data and utilizes systems such as SAP/FuturMaster to generate item level forecasts. The Analyst assists the National Demand Planning Manager with all aspects of the demand planning process to meet target fill rates, forecast accuracy targets and minimal inventory wastes. The position is also responsible for assisting the Manager in ensuring the data within the planning systems (forecasting) is maintained and properly controlled.The attributes we are looking for:Continuously improve the sales forecasting process by customer and SKU for an assigned product line.Conduct baseline forecasts and work with Sales during consensus S&OP process to review forecasts.In partnership with Sales and Trade Marketing team, use promotion event post-audit to analyze the effectiveness of trade promotions.
Use the resulting insight to assist Sales in the forecast of future promotional events. Collect other external event data (lists/delists) from Sales and utilize in the development of the overall forecast.Measure overall forecast accuracy and report variances to Sales, Trade Marketing and Supply Planning. Develop, prepare and analyze reports to improve forecast accuracy.Assist in data management in SAP or FuturMaster by maintaining planning hierarchy data proportion, reviewing forecast models, and performing desegregation to the item/DC/weekly or daily level.Assist with Key Performance Indicators (KPI) reporting and Sales & Operations Planning process by preparing reports and presentation slides.Assist Manager with the process of new product launches and discontinuation of products by coordinating activities related to inventory and demand status.Assist the Manager with coordinating customer promotional activity with Sales, Supply Planning, Plants, and Customer Service.What you will bring:Community college/university graduate preferably in business or supply chainOne (1) to three (3) years experience in Supply Chain/Inventory ManagementExperience in quantitative ApplicationsAbility to work within structured time-linesStrong analytical skillsStrong orientation towards accuracy, quality and focus on detailsAble to work efficiently in a fast paced, team environment with a strong sense of urgency and understanding of prioritiesAbility to develop productive working relationship with key stakeholders in other departments (i.e.
Data Control Group, Sales, Customer Service, Supply Planning)Team player, understanding the needs, requirements and priorities of other functional groupsStrong interpersonal and communication skillsStrong problem solving and decision making skillsGood communications and interpersonal skillsProficient with standard office computer technology such as Lotus Notes, Microsoft Office products and the Internet including advanced proficiency MS Excel and MS Powerpoint.
