Overview:
A Data Analyst of Logistics is responsible for analyzing financial data related to supply chain and logistics operations, optimizing costs, improving efficiency, and supporting strategic decision-making. This role involves budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling to enhance profitability and operational performance.

- Logistics Cost Analysis – Evaluating transportation, warehousing, fulfillment, and last-mile delivery costs to identify savings opportunities.
- Budgeting & Forecasting – Developing financial models and forecasts for logistics expenses, ensuring cost-effective operations.
- Performance Tracking – Monitoring key logistics KPIs, such as shipping costs per order (unit economy), delivery times, and return processing expenses.
- Financial Reporting – Preparing reports on logistics spending, cost trends, and profitability to support strategic decisions
- Risk Assessment – Identifying financial risks in supply chain operations and suggesting mitigation strategies
- Process Improvement – Working with logistics teams to improve financial efficiency in procurement, inventory management, and distribution.

Data & Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, macros) and financial software.
- Experience with BI tools like Power BI, Tableau etc. for data visualization.
- SQL & Python for data extraction and analysis
- Familiarity with ERP and logistics management systems (SAP, Oracle, or marketplace-specific platforms) as a plus
Financial & Analytical Skills
- Strong understanding of financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Ability to analyze large datasets to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Experience with cost variance analysis, profitability assessment, and expense optimization.
Logistics & Supply Chain Knowledge
- Understanding of marketplace logistics, including fulfillment, warehousing, and last-mile delivery.
- Knowledge of shipping cost structures, carrier contracts, and 3PL (third-party logistics) partnerships.
- Awareness of inventory management, demand planning, and returns processing.
Communication & Collaboration
- Ability to present financial findings to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong collaboration skills to work with finance, logistics, and operations teams.
- Negotiation skills for working with carriers and suppliers on cost-effective solutions.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in this or related field
- Russian language is a must, English is an advantage
- Strong analytical skills with experience in financial analysis, cost accounting, or logistics finance.
- Knowledge of logistics operations, transportation costs, and supply chain financial metrics.
- Ability to create financial models and conduct data-driven decision-making.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain finance is a plus.
