Overview Of The Position

The Home and Community Lead oversees customer service delivery across assigned Supported Independent Living homes and Community Participation programs, guiding teams to deliver personalised support that meets each customer’s goals. This leadership role has a direct impact on service quality and the inclusion of the people we support in the community.

The Role

We are seeking a full-time, permanent Home and Community Lead for the Perth metropolitan area. Our Head office is in Bentley, and the role reports to a Manager, Home and Community.

Responsibilities

As a Home and Community Lead, you will ensure customer support aligns with NDIS requirements, build strong relationships with stakeholders, and model WA Blue Sky’s values in your daily leadership. You will mentor and guide support workers, fostering a culture focused on wellbeing, learning, quality, compliance, and safe practices. You will stay informed of sector developments, respond to customer needs using ethical and evidence-based approaches, and support organisational change and continuous improvement. The role also includes participation in a rotating on-call roster to provide essential after-hours support.

To Be Successful In This Role

You will bring a minimum of three years’ experience in the community services sector, ideally in a leadership role with front-line supervision across complex programs. Strong stakeholder engagement, organisation, communication, and problem-solving skills; including responding to incidents and feedback, are essential. A passion for innovation, continuous improvement, and fostering a positive organisational culture is required.

While these are the core requirements, candidates from other human services fields, including Social Workers, Senior Support Workers, Support Coordinators, or recent graduates with relevant skills, are encouraged to apply. Experience leading teams across multiple services or relevant qualifications in human services, education, clinical, or management disciplines is highly regarded.
