OneTeam Partners is seeking a Controller. The Controller will oversee and manage the accounting department, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial operations, with a strong emphasis on technical accounting and revenue recognition, providing leadership and expertise in these critical areas.
Responsibilities
Supervise the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP.
Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Assist in coordinating annual audits and ensure compliance with internal controls.
Reviewing journal entries and reconciliations; Assisting with the year-end audit, tax preparation, and special projects.
Assist with system implementations, automation, and/or other projects in the finance department, including upgrading policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Provide support on deal structures and collaborate with cross-functional teams in contract negotiations and execution.
Managing cash balances; Monitoring cash flow
Managing monthly financial performance reporting processes and reviewing all financial performance analysis and insight.
Effectively liaise and maintain communications with banking, investment and audit communities as required.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is preferred
8-10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a management role. Technical Accounting Skills:
Expertise in technical accounting areas such as ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition), ASC 842 (Leases), and business combinations.
Proven ability to research and interpret complex accounting standards, providing guidance and training to the team.
Strong leadership and team management skills
