It is more than a job; it is an opportunity to provide invaluable support, led by the people you will be supporting.Responsibilities May IncludeAssisting with personal cares (showering, bathing)Assisting with household management and meal preparationSupporting exercise programmesAssisting with accessing the community Bowel, Bladder, and Catheter caresMoving and handling hoists and manual transfersMedication supportJob Location: Central and East AucklandPay rate:$24.13- $30.78 per hour (This is based on the Pay Equity Settlement 2017 – hourly pay rates based on equivalency of Healthcare Qualifications assessed under Pay Equity).Employment Type: Permanent Full time (30+ Hours) or Part Time (Up to 29 Hours)Days of work: As this is community-based work, rotating rosters would be involved including am, pm and weekend work. Your preferred hours of work can be discussed during the recruitment process.We are looking for someone who would be comfortable covering between the hours of 6 am – 9 pm.
The duration of these hours may vary, ranging from shorter to longer periods, depending on the specific needs of the people we support.About you | He momoYou are a calm but confident-natured individual who can demonstrate resilience and understand the challenges of our service users. There are many responsibilities associated with being a support worker which can be challenging and fulfilling.
