Thriving, our region is a model of sustainability, where caring for our environment, creating vibrant communities and growing our local economy is a way of life.About The RoleThe Transport Network Operations branch are recruiting multiple positions for a Level 3 & Level 4 Civil Field Worker.The Transport Network Operations branch provides high-level maintenance, construction and asset management services for roads and related infrastructure.As a Civil Field Worker, You’llCarry out civil construction and maintenance tasks including concreting, kerb and channel, stormwater drainage, roads, bridges and roadside assetsOperate and maintain Council machinery and equipmentEnsure compliance with WH&S and environmental standardsComplete daily documentation and report operational mattersWork effectively as part of a high-performing teamProvide on-the-job coaching to trainees and new staffDeliver quality customer service and identify improvements in work practicesAbout YouAs a hands-on professional, you will:Hold a General Safety Induction (Blue Card)Have a current C Class Driver’s LicenceBe physically fit for labouring and heavy lifting tasksDemonstrate teamwork, problem-solving and communication skillsEssential to your success is physical agility and the level of fitness, strength and dexterity to carry out labouring and frequent heavy lifting & bending.
