Job Purpose:
The Debt Collection Call Centre Agent is responsible for contacting debtors and securing payment arrangements, thus reducing the total amount of outstanding debt.
Key Responsibilities:
Contacting debtors via telephone and other communication channels to discuss outstanding debt.
Negotiating payment arrangements with debtors within established guidelines and policies.
Updating and maintaining accurate records of communications and payment arrangements.
Meeting and exceeding monthly debt collection targets.
Collaborating with team members and supervisors to address challenging cases.
Adhering to legal and ethical standards in debt collection practices.
Maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service.
Investigating and resolving debtor queries and disputes.
Performing administrative tasks related to debt collection activities.
Preparing reports on debt collection activities as required.

Qualifications and Experience:
Matric (Grade 12) certificate.
Previous experience in debt collection or customer service is advantageous.
Knowledge of debt collection laws and regulations.

Proficiency in computer skills and relevant software applications.
