JOB DESCRIPTION:
§ To provide excellent customer service to walk-in customers
§ Attract and retain customers by promoting bank products and services proactively.
§ Accept deposits/ cash lodgements and affect transfers into customers’ accounts
§ Pay cash to customers on presentation of appropriate documentation e.g. cheques, withdrawal slips etc.
§ Answer enquiries, resolve issues, and assist walk-in customers.
§ Balance cash and ensure that all transactions are appropriately filed with proof of authorization.
§ Prepare and generate transactional reports to line manager daily and as when required
§ Observe and conform to all security and operational requirements and regulations
§ Respond promptly to any suspicious incidents, potential threats and fraudulent transactions
§ Maintain a tidy work environment conducive for enhanced performance
§ Refer issues and problems to superior officer to resolve problems promptly
§ Effectively deliver a world class customer experience while applying speed and efficiency
§ Maintain confidentiality and always comply with internal control procedures and processes
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education Level:
§ A first degree or its equivalent in any discipline. Previous banking experience is NOT required for application. Preference would be given to those that graduated with at least a Second Class Upper division (2:1) degree
Age Bracket:
§ Must not be above 27 years old as at the date of application.
KEY COMPETENCIES
§ Ability to work in a fast paced environment and deliver excellent results in assigned tasks within the allocated time period
§ Good understanding of customer experience management
§ Ability to develop friendly relationships with diverse kind of people and a pleasant and confident telephone and in-person personality is expected of candidates in this position.
§ Ability to work on their own initiative and must have good time management skill and organizational abilities.
§ Ability to multi-task while also paying attention to detail is crucial for a Service Champion’s job description
§ Effective communication (written & verbal) and excellent relationship-building skills are expected. Knowledge of more than one international language can be an added advantage.
